Engine use and maintenance

Engine fuel requirements
Ø Fuel:
Using the number 0 or lower quality of light diesel oil
Using high temperature fuel filter plugging the power will decrease
Fuel use of higher temperatures, the engine start-up difficulties

Regular (250h) more filters
If the fuel used is dirty, clogged filter will advance
Engine power will decrease after the filter clogging
Engine oil requirements (1)
Ø Lubricants:
Compliance with SAE 15W40 viscosity
Quality meets API CF or higher grade
Regular (250h) to replace the oil and filter
You must use CF4 or above the level of oil in the highlands
Deterioration in the highlands engine combustion, oil pollution quickly, CF4 below the level of the oil life of less than 250h
Change over the life of the engine will not be normal oil lubrication, wear and tear, appear early failures

Quality meets API CF4 or higher level
If you use a CD of low grade oil drain intervals should be shortened by half
Engine coolant requirements (1)
Ø Coolant:
Required to use water filters or add DCA dry to prevent cooling system corrosion, cavitation and scaling.
Check the radiator and the cooling system pressure cap sealing leaks, the boiling point of the coolant to ensure not reduced, the cooling system is normal.
Engine coolant requirements (2)
In cold areas should use glycol + under running water coolant or manufacturer-approved antifreeze used to meet the environmental conditions.
DCA regularly check the coolant concentration and freezing.
Engine operation using
Ø In some sections running, the altitude exceeds the design value, the load should be reduced to improve the black smoke, reduce exhaust temperature to ensure reliability.
Ø In the cold season when the engine is started, consecutive start time not too long (up to 30s), so as to avoid damage to the battery and the starter. In the cold season warming the battery (up to 58 ℃), enabling the charging and discharging normally.
Ø In order to increase the heavy load do not immediately run after the engine is started cold season, so as not to damage the engine, pay attention to oil pressure, water temperature to normal load operation。
Ø Heavy shutdown conditions should be empty load or idle running 2-3 minutes after shutdown, otherwise easily damage the turbocharger and make living in Sierra cylinder.
